On our last evening in Iceland, we splurged on dinner at a harborside restaurant. At this time of the year in Iceland, sunset is shortly before midnight, and sunrise is about 3 a.m. We did not stay up late to verify this data.
It is Wednesday morning on our only full day in Iceland. We are in a coffee shop waiting to be picked up for the Golden Circle tour.
We arrived in Reykjavík at the bus terminal and hiked to our guest house. Then we set out in earnest to explore the sites. These photos were all taken on the day of our arrival. We finally came the end of a long day that started in Berlin.
We sped across the German countryside at speeds exceeding 200 kph. In Hamburg we took the S1 rail line from the central station to the airport. We are currently in the boarding lounge waiting for the flight to Iceland.
On Monday, our last full day in Berlin, we took the tram to visit the German History Museum. Returning to our hotel, we sampled the jelly roll known in some parts of Germany as a "Berliner." We ate dinner at an Italian restaurant near our hotel. We arose early on Tuesday and took a taxi to the train station to catch the 7:40 train back to Hamburg.

We have passed through the Brandenburg Gate on our tour of central Berlin. It is rather windy today, hence the use of the chin strap on my Tilley hat.
It is Saturday morning, and we are visiting the dome of the German parliament building.
